Actually, Kemba was afraid of getting Jimmer'd. I bet Kemba's agent spoke with Nolan Smith's and decided they wanted no part of praticing against Jimmer. They saw Jimmer at the combine and how Jimmer is much better than people think.



It's probably a smart decision. Like he said, there's nothing to gain by going against Jimmer.

If I'm a GM who is interested in Kemba, I would want to know why he is cancelling the workout. Is really afraid to compete? Because that how it looks. I don't want guys who are afraid to compete - whatever the reason.

Do you still hire a guy that cancels his interview?



I see the logic behind Walker canceling his interview, but if you're Sacramento do want to draft a guy that is afraid to compete? Big risk by Walker. My guess is he feels confident the Bobcats will take him and he has a bird in the hand.



Sacramento would be wise to skip over Walker.

The latest draft projection I saw had Jimmer going to Sac-town at #7. I'd love for Jimmer to go as high as possible in the draft, but the Kings have been a black hole for the last decade.

You're assuming that Walker even wanted to go to Sack-to. This is the equivalent of skipping an interview at Jack-in-the-Box in the mid-90s when they were dropping rats in the fryers. "Oh? I didn't get the job? I guess I'll just have to go work at a franchise that isn't circling the drain."

Isn't Kemba still working out for Sacto, just a few days later? Maybe he had a conflict (like he's doing a kids' camp like Jimmer did), if not, Sacto would be wise to ask why he didn't want to work out with Jimmer - and phrase it like that. Get a reaction from the kid. See what he's like. Ask him if he was afraid of working out with Jimmer.

Greg Wrubell linked in a Tweet a projection that had Jimmer going #7. What was interesting was he had the Jazz taking Walker at #3 and Kawai Leonard at #12. How anti-Jimmer could they get.

So apparently Jimmers scheduled to work out for the Jazz same day Kemba is. Does this pardon Kemba for the flack he has taken for skipping out on Sacto? Did he truly cancel on the Kings due to not wanting a direct comparison to a fellow potential lottery pick PG? Did he know about Jimmer being scheduled to workout with the Jazz the same day? Will he also cancel this visit? Did Jimmer's agent try to set up the head-to-head? Lots of questions rolling around in my head. I'll be curious to see how this plays out.

Yeah, did Team Kemba realize the flack and make sure the Jazz workout could be with Jimmer? Did Kemba finally get to his agent and say, let me go at this guy?

I hope video is taken of Jimmer and Kemba going at it...as in playing basketball against each other.

The only thing I hate about that is that Sac could very well take Jimmer with the 7th pick, which would be amazing for Jimmer, but man I hate the kings, and it would suck to have to buy a Sacramento Kings hat.

Eh, he's not playing for BYU anymore. And let's face it, pro sports kinda stink, especially basketball. Higher he goes, the better it is for BYU. And I can follow him just fine without cheering once for the "kinds".

Could be but I read Dick Harmon's article yesterday and he stated Jimmer basically challenged both Kemba Walker and Brandon Knight last week, to play against him at any camp any time, they just name where. I love how he is trying to take it to both guards who are projected higher picks than he is, and he is also impressing a lot of teams along the way. Jimmer is going to Jimmer both of them.
