Ok you experts what would you recommend for a new grill. Price is not real important but I like a deal. I have done some research and found that some well known ones rust out or are not easy to use. Charcoal vs pellet vs propane.

Once you go green, you will never want to cook indoors again:

I've always wanted to get into smoking style BBQ, when I saw this post it reminded me of something I saw not too long ago.

Looks like the perfect smoker for a cheapo like myself.

Just to elaborate, the Big Green Eggs and other ceramic cookers are the most versatile thing you can put on the back porch. We use ours as a traditional backyard grill/BBQ, but it is also a fantastic smoker when you have a day to let some pork shoulder sit and have pulled pork in the evening. They are a bit pricy, but no more than your over-kill stainless propane grills that put out wet smoke.

I will say this about the green egg... they can do some amazing things. We had some friends who cooked with it and it turned out awesome. Despite the weird looks and name.

Let's be clear: BBQ=Smoking Grilling=cooking on the grill. There's a huge difference, both are good, and if you can get a grill that can do both, that's good, if you can get one that can do both at the same time, that's GREAT.

I had charcoal grill first because I like the smell of burning charcoal, but then I went with propane because I didn't like cleaning up the charcoal grill. Propane is easier since you don't have to really clean up, other than scrape off the grill. If you're lazy like me, you'd be better served to go with propane. I think I got mine at Lowe's. They seem to have some good sales in the Spring.

Anyone try a Traeger? They are kind of expensive but I have friends that rave about it. The problem is that they are now made in China and there have been quality issue.

What, you don't want poisonous amounts of lead in your grill?
