I go to school with him and im a year older than he is but ive heard from alot of his friends that he doesnt want to go to the Y and he is really looking hard at Stanford and a few other out of state schools. It doesnt look good for the Y right now but who knows maybe he'll be a suprise commit

Is he going to Junior Day next week at BYU?

Im not completely sure but i also heard he really wants an offer from the Y so its safe to assume he is

Talk is that Fanaika was really pleased to get a BYU offer. HE has not verballed yet, though. Need to land him. Top local LDS kid this year, with Hinds. Need to get those 2.

Well at least it's good to know he got an offer. There's got to be something in the backgound of this athlete's recruitment for the offers he has and BYU just coming in now. I had thought it was because I'd heard that he had never camped at BYU and they wanted him to come to BYU to offer him. Maybe some of his coolness toward BYU is that he didn't feel they had fauned over him enough. We'll see, but you hate to have a good one get away this close, but he won't be the first or the last.
