Coach Rose at U2

So I just have to tell this story because things like this don't usually happen to me. On Monday this week, my 15 yr old son called me and said he just got entered to win U2 tickets and airfare on a private jet if he is drawn out the next day. I didn't entirely believe him but wished him luck. The next day he calls and says he won and wants me to go with him! I again didn't entirely believe him until I heard the recorded phone call live on the radio. So we were flying from Idaho Falls to SLC on a private jet and getting dinner, shuttle and U2 tix for free to boot!



Upon arriving at the concert and after listening to The Fray I was doing my typical people watching and low and behold up the stairs one row in front of me walks Coach Rose and his wife. The radio personality with us got their attention and I got a picture taken with him (but because of it's size I cannot post it nor figure out how!)



Anyway, he was way cordial and thanked me and my son for our support for BYU and BYU basketball (we were wearing BYU gear of course...especially because we were in Rice Chex stadium at the time!).



That's all. It was a great flight (under 30 minutes from take off to landing). It was a very good concert. And meeting Coach Rose was freakin' awesome!

I don't know about u2 but It'd be great to win a free jet ride and meet coach Rose. I am sure the coach would love to have my advice. :crazy: (did I get the grin over here?)

I will never win stuff like that because I never enter in things because I hate telemarketers and junk post, and do not listen to radio in Lubbock (so I can't win by calling in...lame since I used to sell tickets I won)



If I won something amazing like that, I would've taken the plane ride, ditched the radio host, and sold my tickets to a ute "fan" way over priced. Then I'd drive myself up to Brick Oven, or perhaps the Pie located in south Jordan (more neutral zone).



But I would've missed out on seeing Rose, so that now makes me wonder, out of all the tickets I sold from the Macey's tailgate parties, who would I have met?
