crazy stuff. All I really care about is seeing BYU compete against the best and win. If this scenario played out, I would get to see that. If it stays the way it is, I still get to see that, so I'm a happy camper regardless.

I think Appalachain State is selling themselves short in that article. If you look at the math, they are a lot closer to the bottom dwellers in BCS conferences than they are the top teams in the Non-BCS conferences.



This whole idea that BCS conferences are from top to bottom better than non-BCS conferences is dangerously wrong. And yet it's no one but the fans who are making the argument. Why do the school presidents have so little backbone?

App State would be an interesting add for the Big East as a football only school, and that's what the Big East is looking for.

I'm all for this. NCAA men's basketball should do this too. There are several conferences in hoops that do not belong in Division 1 as we know it.

BYU is included so it sounds good to me selfish I know but oh well.

This article just proves why it was a great idea to become independent. Notice how BYU was included in the realignment as an independent, whereas Boise State, part of the MWC, was not. The stigma of being Non-BCS is wearing off. Beating Oklahoma and all the talk of non-reciprocal interest from Big East knock the stigma out. Winning against the big boys in independence will bury it altogether. I love the thought of controlling our own destiny.
