Why does Vance Law still have a job?

Does BYU just not really care about baseball and how badly they underachieve? BYU was picked to finish second in the conference this year. Isn't that somewhat of an embarrassment to a very proud overall sports program at BYU?

You can't be embarasssed by something you don't care about. BYU doesn't care about the baseball team. BYU fans don't care about the baseball team. College baseball is an irrelevant sport unless your program is really, really good. Otherwise it's a complete afterthought.



So, Vance has a job because no one cares about baseball.

It seems that missions hurt us in this sport. Not enough scholarship players to plug the holes and it hurts your stroke to be gone. I could be wrong. Also the draft pulls kids before they get here and then in the junior year.

The draft hurts every program though doesn't it?

Bottom line is BYU doesn't care about baseball.

Hopefully they notch that careless factor up when they join a better league in the WCC

I agree. They care enough to have that nice stadium. They should care enough not to languish in mediocrity.
