This is a great get.

Much like we have Jim Harbaugh to thank for getting Taysom Hill away from Stanford, I think we have Jim Tressel and the entire soon-to-be-sanctioned OSU football program to thank for landing Dylan Collie. Last I heard, he was Buckeye bound, but I would guess that the spectre of things looming on the horizon for both teams (good things for BYU, less than good things for OSU) helped him change his mind.

Pickin on my Buckeyes again. If it's not the Pukes (which is alright) then it's my scarlet and grey. Guys, anyone that wears a cardigan can't be dishonest. It's like wearing a Boy Scout uniform or something. ;)

5'10" 175.. Last name aside, is this kid good? Or are we talking about another Toby Christensen/Chris Hale etc undersized kid who gets into BYU on name alone?

I heard before... He has more talent in this point in life than his older brothers Zac and Austin.

I expect him to be better than Zac, but I'm not so sure with Austin. He was just too frickin awesome.

Solid get. The type I expect BYU to lock down. Multi family members have played here, 3* star. BYU bloodline. LDS.

The Ohio State rumor was just that--a rumor. He had no offer from Ohio State. The person who threw it out on rumorboard said he wanted it to be closer to Austin. Well, Columbus and Indianapolis aren't exactly close, ya know. Would be like committing to UNLV to be close to BYU.

Younger brothers tend to be better than their older siblings because the younger ones had to play bigger and faster just to keep up. I realize being the next Austin is unlikely but you never know...

He seems like another Zac Collie to me. My early comparison is to Spencer Hafoka. I would love to be wrong about the kid, but he wasn't spectacular in high school. Good potential in the return game though.

If he wasn't spectacular in high school than he shouldn't be compared to Spencer Hafoka. THAT kid had some great highlights from HS. He hasn't come anywhere close to that.
