2 Ole Miss players arrested

2 Ole Miss players on the defensive side of the ball have been arrested for public intoxication. Both are 19 and therefore underage. At least one of the players was listed as a starter.

Both have been suspended indefinitely, though in SEC land, that probably means that both will be back in time for fall camp.

LOL! I thought it just meant they had to move their stuff to another locker. :) They'll be suited up for the game, no doubt.

They're in good hands. No need to wonder if they'll be hurtin'.



Their 3rd stringers could start for any other school out there. :gross: Who cares if their starters and 2nd stringers get into trouble.

If they do get kicked out I'm sure the NCAA has 2 better players in their pockets to give to Ole Miss.

Ole Miss is picked 6th is the SEC West by pretty much everyone, has no QB, and loads of off field issues. If we lose this game, it will really suck.

It makes you wonder why a kid would risk such a good thing for absolute crap like this. Makes me wonder whether they appreciate what they have or whether scholarships just promote a sense of entitlement. Good for the coach for taking a stand and making discipline count. I think we'd expect the same of Bronco.

Credit to Ole Miss. First offense they got suspended, second offense they got booted. Give the kids a chance to clean it up and straighten out. If not, they go.

Their coach seems to be one that tends to not tolerate too much crap, compared to other people in the SEC (excpet for Masoli). Maybe that's why his team is picked last in their division.

According to ESPN, on Monday Nutt dismissed sophmores linebacker Clarence Jackson (listed starter at weakside LB) and reserve defensive end Delvin Jones on Monday, just days after both were arrested for public drunkenness. Apparently this wasn't the first time either player had been involved with disciplinary issues at Ole Miss. Looks like they burned the second chance opportunity.
