2012 QB picks Utah because "I could start early"

Wow, there is obviously a lot of confidence in Wynn right now if this recruit has been given the impression that he would be able to start early when shows up next year.

I think after Wynn leaves in 2 years, it will be a free for all. The other 2 guys did not do much in spring ball get gain an edge, so I think it is up for grabs. And if Wynn goes down, Utah could be in some serious trouble soon.

Hmmm, why was this guy a 3 star QB? His stats sure aren't very impressive. Is it because of potential with his size?

Scout has him as 3 star, rivals has him as four.



scouts profile has strengths as release and size. then it has basically everything else as weakness. i think he is a "potential" guy.

I think you are right here. why else does this kid think he is going to start early. i think the writing is on the wall: wynn sucks and utah has no confidence in him.

So he had offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, and Washington, sounds like the middle of the Pac-12, right where I expect the :utard: to be.

Not only is Wynn being stepped on by this kid, so is Brian Johnson. Does this kid even know that Johnson is the QB coach not Chow? Or is Johnson just the QB coach in title only now and all of the players and recruits know it?

We had a similar situation last year, and the fact was, we lacked depth at a position that we now have it in. So I think the kid is right that he could start soon, but Utah could also shore the position up quickly through training and recruiting. Utah football has shown clearly that when they get a good QB in, they win alot. If they struggle at QB, they still compete because they play great D. If Wynn comes back healthy, I suspect he will be a better QB for them this year. IF he is not healthy, or if he goes down, Utah will be in trouble.

Start soon does not equal start as a true freshman. Start soon could also mean starting as a redshirt freshman or a sophomore after being the backup as a true freshman.

Wynn will never Wynn the Heisman, but if healthy, in the right system, and surrounded by decent talent, he will be pretty decent. Unfortunately for the Utes, his health, the new system, and the surrounding talent lack of experience - ESP RB and OL depth, all raise questions.



They seem over-rated at this point.

Bib, I suspect that they will struggle on offense this year, but you never know. But I also always expect a Kyle Whittingham defense to be tough as nails, and ready to play, but they lost a lot too. Wynn is not horrible, never has been, just has been average, with glimpses of really good. If Chow helps him, Utah gets better. They have to or they go 5-4 in the PAC this year at best.

Obviously now that Utah is in the pac-12 all of their recruits automatically get at least a 1 star upgrade, if he chose BYU he would have been downgraded to 1 star.

Unlike Bronco and BYU, coaches everywhere else tell kids what they want to hear. Actually, their tactics to stop kids from going to BYU are pathetic.

As could be said for many players at many positions. Everyone looks better with talent around them.

So true!! Example - look @ Luke Walton w/ the Lakers. He's a zero w/ NBA Championship rings & a $5 mill p/ year contract.
