Im guessing im on the mission for this one. Was the 2004 BYU-ND game the last win aired on a REAL network? Or was it a different game?

EDIT***One could argue Indy announcement as a victory of sorts

Im also glad the mtn suffocates itself so I dont ever have to worry about accidently going on the channel or seeing any crummy coverage.

I think that's rights. Their other games that year on ESPN or ESPN2 (including 3 at home) were:

USC L

at BSU L

UNLV L

Utah L

Well time to fix that showing. Since then BYU has done better on the worldwide leader (no mtn not you) with bowls and jerry world games. still some losses: bost col, ut st,

Pretty much all Crowton era as well, so water under the bridge. ESPN does not care if we lose, so long as we brings eyeballs to the game. Obviously, winning often does that more frequently. ESPN hit the BYU deal just right with this one too. Set up to succeed for several years.

Wasn't Tulane in 2009 (I think) on ESPN2?

edit: nevermind, read the subject line. Tulane was in New Orleans.

Oklahoma 2009 was on espn2.

Edit: oops! Reread the title, sorry.

Hey I was there for ND! Funny how bad things got that year for BYU.

Wow, that was a long time ago already.

What's our most important ESPN win with Bronco?

Oklahoma easily, but after that I could argue Tulane 09 because that was a dominate win that propelled us into the top 7. Or Oregon St actually, because it was two ranked teams the ONLY 2 ranked teams in a bowl outside the BcS which ESPN stressed.

The real questuon should be... When will our NEXT win on ESPN will be?

I think the better question will be WHO our next win at LES on ESPN will be. . . :utard:

Now that's a good way to kick things off.

That's an easy answer: the next time we play on ESPN!

That's why I was asking. Cause I don't know our ESPN schedule.

Sept. 3rd at Ole Miss

next LES ESPN win will be the 17th vs Utah where only those with strong constitutions are able to watch as BYU, fueled by last year plus Doman's no mercy policy, beats Utah into the ground

Neither of those games are currently scheduled on ESPN. Only 3 games are currently scheduled for ESPN (UCF, USU, TCU).

Ole Miss and Texas will probably make it on either ESPN or ESPN 2, other than that, nothing else is guaranteed. ESPN will have to pick up one more home game on ESPN 2 to fulfill their quota, and that's it.

I could see not being able to see a couple of road games this year. Unless BYU wants to spend the money taking the truck, crew, cameras, etc on the road, some games will not be televised. Not having to go to Rustin, LA probably saves us one of those blacked out games.
