Best Ever Defensive Linemen

We're doing this each week to get us through the Spring/Summer doldrums. Monday I'll set the position and let you all submit names for consideration. After a couple of days, I'll take your nominations and create a poll thread to open up the voting as well as a more pointed debate, with a CougarCorner winner being crowned each Sunday evening.



This week = the defensive linemen---who do you think is in the conversation for best ever? Don't be afraid to date yourself either! We'll run polls for both interior (tackles) and outside (ends) linemen, so make sure to specify!

Daniel Marquardt? Or as well called him (because of his propensity to get put on the ground) "The Steamroller."

How about Jason Buck and everyone with the last name Denney that's playing in the NFL now?

Shawn Knight.... Byron Frisch... Brett Keisel...

Jan Jorgeson had a shot to be on this list after an incredible sophomore season: 20 TFL and 13.5 sacks.



Unfortunately his junior and senior seasons combined couldn't match those stats. What happened to him?

Travis Hall hit my list at #1. 11 year career. Played in a Super Bowl. Arguably the best DT to ever play for the Falcons.

BYU played a 4-3 at times too, so I recommend we put 4 on the Dline.

Hans olsen? Ifo pili? Bloomfield from the 96 team. Darren yancy? Randy Brock? I think the choice is Travis hall.

Jason Buck then Eathyn, but Eathyn can move into the lead this year.

Some of you need to go back and watch some Travis Hall tape. dude was a beast both at BYU, and in the NFL when healthy. Best NFL D-line player, with Jason Buck, Keisel and Hoke not far behind. The kid was a beast.
