YBritWith the AF bowl lined up the UCF game becomes more intriguing during the season. Unlike previous seasons when we have to guess where we'll be going (sorry LV) the only waiting we'll be doing is to 1-get bowl eligible and 2-get BcS bowl eligible...probably not likely.
So, UCF just got upped in my order of most important games of 2011. They won the conference last year and will do so again, so that's Liberty bowl taken care of right? Not sure order of bowl picks for their conference, but South Miss, ECU, Tulsa, SMU, UH, are all likely possibilities. Didn't realize UH finished ahead of utep in standings last year but couldn't go to a bowl, they had a QB loss though.
The toughest matchups are probably going to be SMU (possible hawaii 2001 version), Houston-due to proximity as well, Tulsa killed Hawaii at Hawaii, I think 62-24 and so fans can be comparing BYU to these teams vicariously through: UCF and Hawaii (UH a stretch, and at end of season anyways) throughout the fall but BYUs bowl prep has really been improved through Bronco so I'd expect our team to win regardless of who they play.
Any thoughts on who will play there? SMU could go again but did they sell out last year, after having a long long drought? Is the AF bowl going to become SMUs regular BG?
