Welcome to the Tight Ends and Fullbacks. I was only planning on one FB, but I accidentally reset the poll after a couple of days. Before it was reset, TC had 7 votes, and no one else had more than 4. As of right now, Fahu Tahi has 8 and TC has 4. Because I don't know if everyone revoted, I figured the fairest thing to do would be to enshrine them both.

Andrew Rich and Aaron Francisco have been added as the safeties, which further validates the hypothesis that CougarCorner users are more prone to the effects of recency than they are to those of primacy.



Taking an inadvertent week off from the polls, but look for the next position group on Sunday.

Really surprised Gray didn't make the list. To be honest, the DB was probably more athletic back in the day and we missed some people.

I've been thinking maybe we should have a KR/PR slot as well in the special teams category. It seems like a shame to leave people like Vai Sikahema and James Dye off of a best-ever list just because their main contributions were on special teams, and not as kickers.

Done.

Can you add the year the player graduated, so we can see the era they played in. I suspect many of the greats will be the early to mid-80's.

I have added the years they played (or in the case of coaches, held that position).

Is it me that it's wierd that we only have one RB slot, but two FBs slots, and an HB/Slash back slot.

That's my fault. halfway through the FB polling Todd Christensen had a 5 vote lead (which was a pretty good lead), and I went to edit the poll by adding Dustin Johnson.



When I edited the poll, it whitewashed the results, and at the end of the week Tahi had 4 votes more than Christensen, but there still were only half of the total votes compared to when I accidentally purged the poll. Rather than pick between which version of the poll to go with, I just decided to call it a tie.

I can't imagine the mental anguish that the loser of the run off would go through. After realizing the vast honor of being name to the cougarcorner.com BYU All-Time Team to then have your title stripped. It would be like having to give back your Heisman, having your green jacket taken away, losing your ring, winning the popular vote yet losing the election, losing your crown because of explicit photos that surfaced, seeing Taylor Swift win the Grammy when everyone knows that Beyonce deserved it...

No, I just think we should add a 2nd RB. Redo the RB poll just without Staley.

How many national championships would BYU win if this roster came in all as freshmen and played four years?
