DdawgI thought it was a good interview. You can sense his frustration - I sensed humbleness - and a desire to get back with the team. I'm impressed with his effort.

CAFB_04-12It's good to see that he's still working out. I hope he makes it back to the team someday, for his own sake. Looks like maybe he's grown up a bit since last year.

I thought it hilarious and dooshy when they pulled all the Y football highlights. I got the comments "well it's their right to do it" but it's just interesting that even when BYU has means (meaning money to pay them off for profit) they still choose to be dooshes and decline just to force BYU to remain in the black. Even for post-game highlights.
Another good-riddance post.

frdbtrGood interview. I have always felt that O'neil is a good young man who has lost control of his emotions too much. I hope he is able to make it back and finish up his career at BYU on a positive note.

crh55The interview was good until the end. Chambers felt very humble and contrite until that comment about being a "soldier". I am sure that is the crap that Mendenhall can't stand.
When she asked if he had something to say to the coach, a "sorry, i screwed up" would have been much better than going off about being a soldier and wanting to go to battle.
I hate it when football players make war analogies.
I don't know if he'll play again, but if he gets his degree from BYU that would be a huge success story in my opinion. I hope things work out for Private Chambers, he just needs to come up with something better than the "I'm a soldier" bit.

Are you kidding me? Bronco is more into warrior history than any coach I've ever heard of.

MarsI read that Chambers has finished his bachelor's degree already, but is STILL at BYU just to get back onto the football field. Can anyone confirm?

Of course, he brought all that adversity upon himself... ;)
But it is nice to see someone willing to clean up his own messes.

GunkI wonder if this interview was conducted before or after he did that other interview where expressed constant worry of being caught by the HC police and not being able to relax or be "himself" at BYU.
