SDSU's Leonard declares for draft

Leonard declares for the draft. Since we played against this guy quite a bit (and beat him most of the time) I wish him the best.

He probably would have dominated That Other Conference (TOC) had he decided to come back but apparently TOC is spiraling downward. No Kawaii in TOC, will probably mean several RPI spots lower for the entire conference. This is the non-Jimmer MWC POY choice (except for maybe Emery) and the MWC TOC will be weaker without him

He said he would sign with an agent and go drafting. Doesn't sound like toe dipping to me

I like Leonard's game. Think he is a great player, but I can't help but think that he should take a page out of Jimmer's page and return for a while. He could really help his draft stock with some more national attention.

We'll see how he does though.

I think you're kidding, but.....

I'd agree that the Jazz have probably drafted more white dudes than your average NBA team, except maybe toronto. What I'd like to know is what evidence you're basing your statement that "they're gone" as soon as their contract expires. That doesn't happen with other teams?

And Hayward has had some terrible freshman growing pains, has turned out to be a player that opponents have to respect now. And his defense is better than average. Not a bad pickup.

Kinda odd that you (MArs) are poking fun at the Jazz for not drafting enough black talent. Have you seen BYU's team lately? :P

Nonsense. There are players who a relatively small town doesn't provide the nightlife they are after. But the color of their skin has little to do with it.

Yeah, if you are picking 25th and up, he isn't a bad pickup at all.

You picked him 9th. And for the people OOW-ing and AHH-ing over his last dozen games, I have a question. How many of those did we win?

Dig Deal. Our 9th pick can kind of take over a game against the other teams' second teamers once in a while...

The jury is still out on Gordon, so let's give him time to develop. But also, don't hold your breath.
