How many wYns will it take for the season to be successful?

I stopped at 6 since that's bowl eligible and only frute's with children of propaganda would wish less than 6...



It's been asked before but post-spring what's everyone's sense? I'm always hoping/expecting for undefeated years, but I'll also be willing to be patient with coaching changes-perhaps since these coaches are more likable.

Wow. . . 10 is popular. I picked it because that's what I've come to expect as a "normal" year under Bronco 9-10 wins. Hoping for 13!

To me, there are 5 noteworthy teams on the schedule- Ole Miss, Texas, Utah, Oregon St. and TCU. If BYU goes 1-4 against the noteworthy teams and beat all of the insignificant teams that would be satisfactory to me. If they beat two of the five the season would be better than just good.

9 for me, BUT for the record, no number of Jordan Wynns will ever be succesful....

I think 11 or 12 with one of the wins in the bowl game against a good to very good team. That sets us up for the NC push in the next year or so. Less than that and it takes another year before the push. Of course as long as our schedule has at least 6 or 7 strong names (teams), going undefeated gets us into the discussion and since we are ESPN's product (or at least an ESPN partner now), it looks good for us to get a bcs bid everytime we go undefeated, and will probably get strong consideration if we lose just one game to a strong team.

I'm going with 9. We're coming off of a very big shakeup in the coaching staff, still playing with a lot of young guys. I hope we do better, but 9 would be a big step up towards our goals for next year.

A win over Utah is always a requirement. 12-1 with a BCS bowl win and loss to Utah would feel empty

6-0 against the dwarves on our schedule

Beating Utah, for sure.



Beyond that, New coaches, young players, etc. I don't know... i can't put a number on it. I expect to win 11-13 with a bowl win mixed in there... I think we will be that good. I don't know how many would actually be a "success" for me.



For me it is more about taking advantage of the talent that you have there, and making them better. I feel we have done a terrible job of using talent the last few years, and I'm just excited to see something new.



I'd honestly put the bar at about "8" if they were seriously implementing game plans, developing talent for future years, and doing more risk reward concentrated football.



I will absolutely flip out if we lose one more game playing conservatively. Play all games to win, at all times! BYU did a terrific job of getting rid of a lot of the problems we have had the last few years in the offseason (and mid-season too) so I expect things to be a little rocky, but to have smooth sailing when new jobs get learned.

11 would equal a great year. More than that an exceptional year. 10 would be ok, so long as beat Utah. 9 or fewer would be a disappointment in 2011, even with the tough road schedule we have.
