CBS reporting that Rice is going to UNLV

If this is true it would be a great upward move for Rice. I wish him the best of luck. Not a huge fan of UNLV still.

Wow, this is so difficult because you have such warm regards for the man and it is a great opportunity for him. Good luck Mr. Dave Rice. We thank you for the time and effort. It's time for him to have his shot.

Congrats to Coach Rice. I wish him all the luck. As far as I am concerned he can win the MWC every year. Someone's got to, after all.

I am prety surprised that Rice got hthe gig. I Was in Vegas over the weekend and there were big wirte ups in teh sports section where Danny Tarkanina, or whatever his name is, was outwardly lobbying for Reggie Theus. Said his dad Jerry wanted Theus as well. The Sunday paperhad more of hte same with quote from Tark teh Shark pulling for his former player Thues over RIce, but he did call Rice an oustanding human being. Thei argument was that Rice would be similar to Lon Kruger, and they needed something more in recruiting and thought Theus could do that.



AT the end of the day, Livengood went with Rice. Livengood is a BYU alum, I beleive, or is LDS. Rice was his cleaearly favorite.
