And backing up Murdock helped provide some the motivation Jimmer needed to become the player he is. He said gave him a chip on his shoulder. Sometimes you really need adversity and struggles to reach your full potential.

Just like Heaps will be better for the struggles he had last year and having to split time with Riley. Don't wish your struggles didn't happen because they're a necessary part of our development.

Terrible coaching decision, and I said so at the time. Good thing it all ended well.

Yeah, it was obvious well before Murdock sprained his ankle late in the year that Jimmer was better. But Jimmer used that for motivation to become the player he is. I hope he listens to Cowherd or reads Riley each day before practice or game when he's in the NBA.
