BYU TV Question

So my question is really more of a whine, but why doesn't BYU just put the Spring Game on BYU-TV? There are many who would tune in simply out of curiosity if not huge fandom... or is it fanhood.



Anyway, put it on the TV for crying out loud!

trying not to create film? Opposing coaches could easily be part of that 50 mil who can tune in. . . not to mention the on demand online function anytime anywhere 8) been taking advantage of that to catch up after my mission. They got a ton of great games from the last two seaons!! :D

yeah, how do you balance running an effective 'pactice game' without giving away any of your 'secret plays' or 'secret weapons'.



You run a vanilla offense, the defense rules the day and gets overconfident and your O loses confidence. You run your real offense, you lose real games when opposing coaches prepare for your best plays.

What kind of a question is that to put it on byutv?



I never! What would those that flock to watch "Paint This With Jerry Yarnell", "Culinary Creations" and "Food Nanny" do? You might start mass riots in Utah County!

Holmoe addressed this a few weeks ago. He said that BYUtv approached him and Bronco about airing the spring game but at that point Bronco was still undecided on if the game was going to be played at all. Since Bronco couldn't commit BYUtv didn't plan on it. When Bronco finally did commit it was too late to broadcast the game.



That was his explanation. It doesn't make sense to me though. How hard would it be even on 1 week notice? Unless the equipment is already being used this weekend or something.

Are we technically still under contract with the Mtn until June? Would that make it so we couldn't broadcast it even if we wanted to?

Spring game is for the fans anyway. I doubt any spring game reveals too much of the offense or defense.



If Texas can play its spring game on ESPN without being worried then BYU can show theirs on BYUtv without anyone (opponents) even caring it's on.
