2013:Ohio State

I have no sources, just the fantastic review of a meeting with Alums naming some well-known teams that have called BYU. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=6300594



Ohio State (the) has 3 spots and just signed to play Vandy, so with 2 non-conf left who do they want? A few patsy's like usual I suppose, but maybe something awesome could happen in New York, D.C., Dallas, or hell, St. George.



I'd love to see it happen, maybe just a simple 2 for 1, and get our Pawn shop owners some time to prepare to welcome the Buckeyes.

I would love it but let's shoot for a 1-1-1 away-home-neutral instead of the 2-1. I think we caould really start to use the 1-1-1 set up as our "trademark" and become the main go to team for it.

Ohio State: Best team a pawn shop can sell. OR a tattoo artist can put grafitti on.



I'd rather add MIchigan, Wisconsin or Penn State, to be honest. Even Michigan State or Iowa. The Buckeyes need to stick to the Little Sisters of the Poor routine.

I'd be thrilled to play Ohio State. However, it would likely come in a one and done situation or 2 for 1 that favors Ohio State. I'm fine with that. I have a feeling the new reality of BYU scheduling would look like this:



1 FCS team every year.

Hawaii, Utah, and Utah State every year

1 home game and 2 road games against 2 for 1 opponents every year (ND, Texas, Ohio State, Michigan, Penn St., Oklahoma, Nebraska, LSU, etc.)

1 game vs. other BCS conference opponent

4 games against WAC, MAC, MWC, CUSA teams.

There are only a handful of teams I'm willing to play 2 for 1s with, and if we fall into that role I won't support the AD.

Wow, really? I think that type of schedule is a major upgrade with what we are used to.



I'm fine with BYU playing only one home game for every two road games against the following teams: Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio St., Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, USC, Nebraska, Tennessee, Penn St., Florida St., Georgia, LSU, Miami, Auburn, Florida.



If all of those teams went winless for a decade while during that same decade BYU won at least 10 games a year and finished nationally ranked, BYU still wouldn't surpass any of those teams in all time wins or all time top 25 finishes. They would only have more bowl appearances than 4 of them. In addition, all of those programs outdraw BYU by more than 10,000 per game except Miami and they have all won National Titles (most of them more than one).



Considering those teams' collective history, tradition, and economic reality are far superior to BYU's, it wouldn't be a slight to BYU at all to schedule 2 for 1s with these programs.

Jamie and I are there. Of all the years I was a Buckeye fan and lived in Ohio, I never could get tickets to the games, but I never though of trying to get opponent tickets.



BYU has played and lost to OSU twice. The Citrus Bowl is the one we (BYU) clearly should have won if LaVell had sat Bosco down as he was injured and allowed Fowler to play. The other one was a butt whoopin, so I'm definitly ready to have BYU win, but it's still one of those situations where you don't go into any deep depression when they lose--at least for me.



The honest truth is that I'd rather not see them play because of inner conflicts, but I'd love to see us bash any other Big Ten school.

I'm a Gopher fan, but when it comes to BYU versus Minnesota, there is not conflict--I'd love to see BYU completely obliterate Minnesota.

I'm sorry man, but as also being a fan of OSU I would never want to see them get obliterated. It would be hard seeing that as they were "my team" growing up and I've only really been a byu fan since my family moved here about 10 years ago. Although, dont get me wrong I'm still just as big a cougar fan as any. I've felt the joy and pain and took the trips for my cougars for the past 10 years and I've gotta say, they've been an amazing 10 years!
