Spring Football Coverage Poll

Has anyone else felt that the coverage of Spring Football has been a bit spotty at best in 2011? At first, I thought it was natural given the Sweet 16 demands on the reporters around the state. But now that they have had nothing other than a couple of daily Jimmer awards and Jazz losses to report on for well over a week - what gives?



I have not heard much about drops this year. maybe there aren't (m)any. Maybe I am confusing Spring with Summer - but I recall getting a lot more in the way of daily updates and stat comparisons, etc. Maybe this is because we just don't have much of a QB controversy or Juice controversy, or a bunch of four star recruits enrolled early, etc.



Anyway, it seems like things are going well. But I need a daily dose.

To me it has been kind of like the Pukes search for a HC in that I kept forgetting that they didn't have one for a few weeks as with the Jimmer show it wasn't in the forefront until now that I have the attention to give it. Frankly I can't tell if I have received less as I wasn't paying that much attention.



If BB had sucked, maybe I'd have a different opinion as I would have been focused, but I've heard about what I wanted to know through various sources.

To be honest they haven't had much to cover. There haven't been many intriguing story lines. No QB controversy. No injuries. No coaching drama - sure there are new coaches, but you can write those stories in the fall.



I think the reporters are tired. They went straight from football and then Jimmer blew up so they never got a break.

I'm fine with no coverage. The less coverage the teams gets, the more they can sneak up on teams come fall. The more exposure in spring and fall camps, the less "under the radar" we'll be the first two weeks of the year (after we pound the tar out of Ole Miss and Texas, the cat will be out of the bag though)

I had to reread this a few times, I couldn't believe so many people voted that spring practice in 2011 has been far worse than 2010!



Okay, got it. With how its seemingly been handled and the e- (energy) that coaches and players are bringing I'm confident. BUT...I would like more details too. Bronco knows and wishes fans would just enjoy the season. I think we should get 24 hour web-cams in the practice facility and field and LES. Even when nothings going on, so if I have a night terror I can jump on and watch the soothing scenery to calm down and dream about the future.

I think this years coverage is spotty at best but when compaired to last year when every pass was disected and analised over and over it's hard to remember what normal is. I think we all would like more coverage, that's one of the few things to keep us going until the fall.
