urronerLast night, because of an emergency, a single sister in my ward had a flat tire in the middle of nowhere and she called me to help, I missed the priesthood session. First time in a long time.
I got out to where she, her two daughters, a friend of hers, and the oldest daughter's boyfriend, we realized that she didn't have a spare tire, next on my list to fix. She called up AAA and they towed her to her house and we all squeezed into my six seater and I took them all to their respective houses.
By the time everybody was home, it was too late to go to the session.
So, this morning I went to her house and put a plug in her tire, but I really impressed her when her van dropped off the jack. Thankfully it wasn't very high and it landed on some really soft sugar sand. The plywood board under the jack shifted and she had just had the tie-rods fixed.
I had to dig a hole under the van to get another jack under it to jack it up until I could get the first jack out. I went and got a 4' by 4' piece of plywood and put the jack on this. The other was about 2' by 18". I jack the van up, clean the sand out from around the brakes, and put the tire back on.
We drove it around the block and, miracle of all miracles, the brakes worked and the tire didn't go flat. First time I had used a plug and thankfully the her neighbor had a air compressor.
Any who, when I got home, I was cruising BYUtv and saw that the Priesthood session from last night was viewable, so I listened to it while I was fixing a Caramel Apple Crisp and four gallons of ice cream for the potato bar our ward has between the Sunday sessions.
I didn't know that the Priesthood session was available. That's awesome.
Now, while the apple crisp is cooking, I'm listening to Pres. Urcdorf (sp). I love the internet.
