Ask the Eagles about their album "Hell Freezes Over".

The album name is in reference to a quote by Don Henley after the band's breakup in 1980; he commented that the band would play together again "when Hell freezes over." ... At the beginning of the concert, Glenn Frey joked to the audience: "For the record, we never broke up; we just took a 14-year vacation."

I wonder what the frogs back of their jersey's update is. I'll check.

Doubt it. But BYUtv should use it as an opportunity to do some out of the box programming for BYU sports. Good place to start.

Not this year, but maybe next. Right now there is zero film of the BYU offense under Doman. No sense in losing that advantage by broadcasting 70 plays nationwide.

Which bring me this question....

So are we falling out of the MWC by bits and pieces? In other words, are we officially independent now in FB and we could film our spring game if we please?

I would have to think that the TV contract with the MWC covered all sports, but I'm not sure where we are going forward since our sports are scattered, I would imagine they all have individual deals. Maybe that's the way it was with the MWC, in that we signed a contract with each sport that would be covered. I just notice that volleyball wise we tend to do a lot of games this year on byutv, indicating that there probably is a separate contract for each sport and we are therefore officially complete with any obligation for FB with the MWC and could cover our spring game if we wanted to.

Volleyball isn't a MWC sport so it dosen't fall under the MWC TV deal

men's at least don't know about women's never followed it enough

I have heard the Utes are ripping off their MWC logos on the jerseys today and putting on the Pac 12 logos on in their place at the stadium today.

SO when do we get to take off our MWC logos? Then replace them with. . . big shiny BYU logos?

Men's volleyball is not in the MWC, so those can be broadcast by byutv. They also seem to let byutv have some of the other lesser sports. They would have let BYU broadcast the basketball game vs Fresno State on KBYU but not BYU TV, so it seems like they are much more concerned about national broadcasts of football and men's basketball than any of the other sports (a few of the women's games were on byutv).

ANyone else notice how only ESPN saw BYUtv as a non-threat/potnetial viewer booster? Every other TV deal we've tried wanted to shut it down asap. . . anwya iId love to see the spring game, but like the idea of keeping film on the new offense off the air.

It makes sense to keep the spring game off TV so as to not create tape before we play a game, but it's also the perfect opportunity for BYUtv to showcase its top product (next to Gen Conf, I guess).
