ok, now that I have vented, sworn, and yelled, and raged, time to look at the bright side.



Emery got to 100 steals this season.

Jimmer was the BEST player to grace BYU in 30 years, if not ever.

We got to the Sweet 16, without Davies.





Keep it coming.

At least you won't have to deal with watching the Final Four or going to Priesthood. :)

Both wins against SDSU.

Reaching number 3 in the nation.

We will never play on the Mtn again.

Bright side? The season was fantastically fun. Not only did we show that we belonged in the tournament and in the Sweet 16, we also got to show that standards, character, and morals mean something at BYU and to everyone associated with it.

I'm not upset by the loss. We played hard. We fought back from what could have been a blowout. We rebounded like animals. We had the best player in the nation.

We beat UNLV on their home court

Jimmer scored 47 at Utah..and hit that half court shot at the buzzer



Jimmer put 52 on NM in the tournament



We destroyed Gonzaga



We beat SDSU twice



We shut Tre'Von up



We stood for something



Coach took on that cancer



Jax stole and stole and stole



Noah blocked shots like some seven footer and hit threes like some guard



No one had a freshman guard haul in more rebounds per game than Kyle



We owned UNLV



WE HAD A BLAST!!!

What a ride! And now I don't have to keep wondering if I should change my default entry into CC from football to basketball.

BYU made a name for themselves.



We have good recruits coming in and hopefully can attract some great recruits in the future because of this season.



I really can't describe how great this season was in words. It was a roller-coaster ride of emotions with great highs and lows but it truly was a special season being a BYU fan.

We all love Jimmer and will appreciate him more in the future.



That said, next year we're good. Better? Actually that's possible, tho doubtful. But we'll make the dance and from there who knows. Davies with an attitude (a good one), Hartsock and Abouo unleashed, Chris Colli making up for lost time. Carlino (have you seen HIS range in the youtube clips?), Anson Winder, Demarcus Harrison and Martineau doing pesky stuff at guard, the emergence of 7 footers (competition will tell who can play and who will red shirt). The team will learn how to spread the scoring around more than this year. Rose will make sure he can rotate 10 guys to avoid dead legs. This will be a fun team.



I think time will tell that this year was the start of a high level of achievement for the program. It will all have started with Jimmer. We're going to make some noise for many years.

The biggest Bright Side I will see coming is when BYU sets up a presser on Monday to announce an extension and raise for Coach Rose. Have to keep him in Provo. He and Bronco are perfect for their programs and for what BYU stands for. They are worth that pay they get. Lock Rose up, and I will be pumped.

The Sunday after the victory over SDSU on the road I was talking to my Bishop, and said that I'm just enjoying the ride this year, and that even if we flameout in the first round of the Tourney, my glass for this year is and will remain half full. The next week, he was speaking to someone else saying that I was looking like a genius because of the Brandon Davies incident. I'm now assured of losing 10 bucks in the office pool because I had BYU winning it all, but I say that it was a ten spot well spent. I LOVED this year. And with a smile on my face I'll fondly remember this season for the fun that it was....

Greg Wrubell said on the postgame show that Jimmer's 1068 points this year was the 11th-most in Division I HISTORY. And three of the totals in front of him were Pete Maravich, so there have only been eight players in D-I that have ever scored more points in a season.

We have been front row witnesses to the greatest college basketball phenomenon EVER!!

First time in a long time I got to see a BYU game in person (I attended the Creighton game in Omaha). I got a preview at the time of what was to be a really great season and experience. I think the team will be great again next year, and keep the strong performance going. I thought the press we got after the Honor Code incident was unbelievably positive. Great year! 8)

that one school who was so bad the only highlights they ever had was when Jimmer went down to their level and graced their arena (bringing Y fan a plenty) and getting 49, plus the ESPN #1 play of the day...who is this poor team I speak of?
