Dcr36I think I'm one of the few posters here with a serious videogame habit, and one of my all-time favorites is NBA Jam. It pretty much defined my 4th grade sleepovers. When they came out with the remake/update last year, I was THRILLED. Hopefully, they make a habit of releasing a new edition every couple of years.
Having said that, do you think Jimmer will ever make an NBA Jam roster, assuming a version is made during his career? The criterion is usually as follows:
1) One of the top 3 players for any given team (roster size tends to fluctuate between 3-4 guys a team)
2) A game that is conductive to the NBA Jam style of play (i.e. dudes like Blake Griffin or in-his-prime Vince Carter)
3) Fan-voting sometimes plays a part; a vote was held for the last version to determine who ended up in the game
Obviously Jimmer doesn't qualify for #2, but that's hardly determinative (Jimmer's heroes Mark Price and John Stockton were in the original NBA Jam, for example). I hope he ends up being good enough to make an appearance. I doubt Jimmer will be an All-Star (it could happen, I guess), but he could easily become a team's designated 3-ball guy.
Last BYU guy to appear in NBA Jam, if I'm not mistaken, was Bradley, who was 20x better in the game than he was in real life.
