Been Jimmered lately?

Jimmermania is sweeping the country.



Every person seems to have a Jimmer tweet and, when he filled out his bracket, President Barack Obama noted that Fredette is the best scorer in America.



Not many college guys get an endorsement from the White House and NBA players. But Derrick Rose and Kevin Durant, arguably the two best young players in the league, have caught Jimmer Fever.

But this is not Superman and it doesn’t appear Boynton is going to need to stick kryptonite in his sneakers.



Some argue Jimmermania is Hypermania run wild.



Four NBA teams (Boston, New York, New Jersey and Oklahoma City) would not guarantee Fredette that they would select him in the first round of last year’s NBA draft when he considered leaving college.



There was talk he would go the route of Adam Morrison, the No. 3 pick in the 2006 draft, who led the country in scoring at Gonzaga but is now out of the NBA.



It would seem the Knicks, under Mike D’Antoni’s run-and-gun and let’s-not-worry-about-defense mentality, would be a perfect fit for Fredette and they passed on him.



But this is college and this is now, and Boynton could be hurting. It could be a Jimmerish nightmare for the Gators.



Or maybe not!
