Wow, check out this Gonzaga message board. What a difference from what we have seen.



Very classy, humble fans. So different than what we are used to in the MWC from the likes of fans at TCU, Utah, SDSU, UNLV, etc.



I think I'm going to enjoy playing in the WCC.

Holy crap. The civility on their board is freakin ridiculous. I imagine that will change as things get heated up, but I was simply shocked by it to be honest.

Like night and day. Wow.

We could take a good lesson from them.

I haven't clicked the link, but are any CC/BYU fans letting them know that their civility is appreciated? Last year, when the Oklahoma dudes were doing that for us and vice versa, it made a big difference, IMO. I'll never say anything bad about Oklahoma fans again.

A grad from USF undergrad and law school has his office right next to mine. Good Catholic guy. Would make a great member of the Church.



Anyhow, when this buzz about BYU leaving the MW came up he and I began talking about what BYU might do. Then next thing we know, we link up with WCC. I told Joe "I'll bet the WCC conf commish called Tommy Holmoe and told him, 'look, Tom, you guys come over here and you'll have no prob with Sunday play or any of your rules. Of all conferences, we understand." I mean, look, they're all Catholic schools except Pepperdine, and it's Church of Christ, right? I later read that that is just about what happened.



I went to Santa Clara Law after graduating from BYU. I can tell you that the folks at USF, Santa Clara, St Mary's, etc. are good people. Great group we're joining, and they take their hoops quite seriously. Gonna be some good rivalries.



PS. What do USF and St Mary's grads call Santa Clara alums after graduation? Answer: one word. "Boss." :D
