Faith, Hope, and Charity

I started to get HOPE after our bounceback win over New Mexico in the tournament, but struggled to maintain that HOPE after the SDSU debacle. HOPE started to faintly strengthen when we had the woeful win over Wofford. It did give me HOPE that we would either win a close one vs the Zags or at least not get blown right off the court.



Now after blowing the Zags right off the court - I have FAITH that we can eke out a win over Florida if Boynton's ankle slows him down, Collinsworth grabs 10 rebounds, Abouo rebounds and slashes well, and Jackson, Jimmer, and Noah get to the CHARITY stripe often enough.



Faith, Hope, and a little Charity. That is what it will take - unless we shoot and defend again like we did vs Gonzaga.



PS - I always have FAITH in Jimmer.

I think we have past FAITH in Jimmer and moved into a SURE witness.

Reminds me of a very old movie about the Washington Senators major league baseball team - yes there was actually a Washington Senators Major League team. In the fictitious movie about the perrenial last place team - a player sold his soul to the Devil for super powers - like Jimmer has. But Jimmer didn't get his powers from the Dark Side which makes them even better.

In the fictitious movie about the perrenial last place team - a player sold his soul to the Devil for super powers - like Jimmer has. But Jimmer didn't get his powers from the Dark Side which makes them even better.

I remember that movie - Can't remember the name of it though. As I recall, the man was old, and not only did he get tremendous talent, but he got youth. I think he gives up his power and youth in the end, but still somehow makes the game-winning catch as he's turning back into an old man. Is that the movie you remember?

I think his name was Joe. I read the book as a kid, but can't remember clearly. I think you have the end correct.

Yes, he sells his soul to the PAC12, or Satan if you may, to gain power over BYU. He laughs, he giggles, he even gets good looking, but it's all for naught. He realizes that the PAC12 has not only stolen his soul, but also all hope and dreams.



He winds up in the gutter, he becomes last Tuesday's garbage dumped on the side of some lonely road going nowhere, or Salt Lake City if you may. He then realizes that his worst enemy, BYU, is truly his best friend.



He decides to leave behind the life of debauchery and sordid women, the UofU if you may, and becomes a BYU Cougar.
