SDSU vs UCONN will be in Anaheim????

I just was looking over my bracket, which is shot to hell, but I noticed, UCONN is going to play SDSU, IN Anaheim CALI!

SDSU iS #2 is the West. The West is in Anaheim. Had BYU won the MWC tourney game, it would be us, but we played really poor and put doubt in the committee about our ability post-Davies. Still, all things considered, I like our match up vs. florida in the Big Easy. And I like that bracket a whole lot better now that Pitt choked out. If we hit shots in 2 more games, we have an easier shot at the Final 4 than SDSU does. So it worked out just fine.

Anaheim is a LONG ways away from UConn and Duke. SDSU may be the "home" team in both games (if they play two). I've got SDSU in the Final Four.

I think you may be right but I would rather not play SDSU. Yes, I am looking way ahead. :crazy:

I really think we have an advantage against teams that have not played us before. I think most teams are surprised by how quick we actually are and by then it is already too late. Let's play teams that think we will be a pushover because we look like an easy win on film.

I'd love to play SDSU in a huge arena like a football stadium in the Final Four/Championship game. Could you imagine how bad SDSU would shoot with that kind of pressure and with those unfamiliar sight lines? They're bad enough as it is.

Arizona will also have a pretty big advantage crowd wise over Duke.

Personally, I thought Duke should have gotten the 1 seed in the SE and SDSU should have gotten the 1 seed in the west. I think this is a huge advantage for SDSU and they better make the most of it. And Arizona's gonna have fans there too. Of course had BYU had not lost to NM and then won the MWC tourney, they'd be the 1 seed. What might have been. I do like our chances in New Orleans since you can't spell BaYoU without BYU.

And I am rooting for SDSU still since they are going up against a big least team.

True or False-

Both UConn and SDSU are undefeated this season in tournament play, including regular season, conference, and NCAA.

Um, how can regular season be tournament play?

That said, I do think both teams are undefeated this season in tournament play, both conference and NCAA...

I think he means early-season tourneys (like our games against USF and St. Mary's.)

I feel like UConn won theirs (was it the Maui Invitational? I at least remember that's where Kemba made his initial splash), and SDSU obviously only lost to us in the regular season...so, yeah, I think that's right.

Arizona and SDSU are going to have huge crowd support in the OC.

OTOH, Duke is not Duke when it plays out of state.... Zona may beat them.

As to UConn, SDSU is a better team than UConn and the Aztecs have an excellent shot at the Final Four.... after all, there is only one team that can beat them.....
