Where does the tourney money go?

Now that we are no longer in the Mountain West do they still get the NCAA tourney money from our appearances. And if that's the case do we get screwed by the Mountain West by not getting any of their redistribution to the rest of the conference?

MWC still gets the money. It gets dispersed over a 3 year period or something like that.

BYU needs to start a new tradition of Sweet 16 appearances and tourney wins and the $$$ will take of itself in the near future in the WCC.

These are what the 3rd & 4th Sweet 16 appearances ever in the MWC? How many recent (since the MWC inception) Sweet 16 runs does the WCC have? I think at least that many.

I think from 1999-2010, the MWC had 2 sweet sixteen runs. During that same period, I believe that Gonzaga alone had 6, that St. Mary's had at least 1, and that Portland may have had 1.

So BYU and SDSU have doubled the amount of Sweet 16 runs the MWC has had in it's history with their two runs this year. And we wonder why we never got good seedings?
