The Power of a Superstar

Jimmer is The Man. And it occured to me that in addition to just playing great, it forces teams to have to deal with him...double team? rotate defenders? zone? They are being forced to react and can't just be themselves That puts us up from the gitgo. And do not underestimate the power of a star come tournament time. The BB tournament is legion with teams who are pretty good but are then carried by one outstanding player...because after all it's only six game right? Jimmer can carry and if the other guys can play to their potential...who out there can stop that? Besides we have magic on our side--the final four is in Houston and as we all know, it is where Dave Rose played in his final four tournament....

One of the amazing things is that Jimmer is a constant. When Rose is developing his game plans, he knows what he's going to get from Jimmer. He know he's getting about 30 points, 5 assists and a bunch of open looks for teammates.



Jimmer hasn't delivered yet. In the games that BYU lost, Jimmer still played well.

This year's BYU team has an answer for every adjustment that's been thrown at them. The only thing that stops this team is when they go cold on their shooting.
