Jim Tressel wants a bigger suspension?

Originally he got a two game ban, but goes to his AD and asks for it to be the same as his five immoral players.



The AD and Ohio St went to the NCAA asking for this to be longer. We'll find out later what the NCAA decides.



He's up to something. A wolf in sheep's clothing if you ask me...

I agree. He knows he should have reported it, then lied that he didn't know what to do about it. He and the program should be in big trouble, he's just trying to look honest and forth coming. A little late if you ask me. It will work, though, I doubt much more will happen.

If he was trying to look honest and forthcoming then he should've issued a real apology and not a "I'm sorry we got caught" garbage statement. He's a bum and now he's trying to save face with something lame.

Dez Bryant got a year for lying about his dealings with an agent. The dealings weren't a violation but he still got a year. Tressel was essentially lying about actual violations. He should get at least a year.

The NCAA rules that Tressel suffered enough, apologizes and takes away any suspension.

After allowing these 5 players to play in the Sugar Bowl, it's impossible for OSU to ever appear to be honest or to have any form of integrity. Raise your hand if you think that BYU would let even its star players take the field under the same circumstances.

meh. So he lied to some regulatory commission that aims at keeping the players down. I'm more worried about the $4 million per year he makes on the backs of his players/slaves.

I think he should get the 5 game ban, lose 5 games of salary, plus a fine to be paid to an NCAA charity. Also should lose some recruiting rights, such as no off campus visits for a year, and 5 schollies for a year--the number of kids he should have rolled on.

He knows he is going to lose without his main players, so why not sit out the five games as well. he is seriously lame. Notice this desire came after his players' appeal was denied. How convenient.

1 year bowl ban. Those players should have sat last season. 5 lost scholies for 2 years and strip them of their wins the players played in last season. (like that last one really hurts.)



And suspend Tressel for 5 games on top of the fine.



Lying to the NCAA should have serious consequences.
