Brackets don't know what to make of BYU

Take a look at the "expert" Picks.



While no one has us in the final four. several have us elight 8, and others have us losing to in round two.



I think a lot of people don't know what to make of us in the tournament because they don't know if Jimmer will go for "only 25" or have another night of 52.

Can't say I blame them. I'm struggling not to put the Cougs in the Elite 8.

Just watched the ESPN "Experts" go over every game. 4-3 they had BYU advancing over Wofford and then 5-2 losing to Gonzaga in 2nd round because of their inside game we won't seem to have an answer to.



To me, too much emphasis on losing Davis. Someone on the panel said that people were selling out BYU too quickly. I agree. Yes, we were 3-2 over the last 5 games, but the one loss was to someone we beat in Vegas, so I think you can discount that loss.



I'm just glad this will all play out on the court and we don't have to give a dang as to what these "experts" think. Some of them even admitted to not actually having seen Wofford play, and yet they were in there camp.

I watched Gotlieb (I think that was who it was) this morning talking about BYU's bracket. he picked us to lose to St. Johns, but he made no sense and had all his facts wrong. He even said we lost to NM and wyoming after losing Davies. I hope we are underrespected and that our guys come out with a chip on their shoulders - they've got something to prove and have the perfect stage to do it. Small teams can advance in the tournament, they just have less room for error.

It wouldn't surprie me to see a team like St John's, from the might big east either flame out in the first round or totally overlook BYU because we're not from a power conference and have lost so much with Davies.

We might get by Wofford without Jackson and Noah bringing their offensive A game, but St. Johns/Gonzaga are teams that it would be difficult for Jimmer, Charles and Kyle to carry on their backs. We get by without Kyle being a lethal scorer, but we can't get by with him just big on the boards and then Jackson and Noah don't add points. We need points from more team members and I hope Jackson and Noah somehow find their shot by Wednesday.



Probably true of all teams, but if all five of those guys are firing on all cylinders, look out Wofford, St. Johns/Gonaza and Florida.
