Easiest Region?

I think Pitt is a quality top-tier team, but as far as the rest of the SE region goes, I think we, for once, have a lucky draw. I mean Florida? Wisconsin? KSU? St. John's? All good teams but are highly inconsistent or come from weak conferences (Florida). There are no easy games in March but BYU has a decent shot of doing some damage assuming Jimmer can take it easy vs Wofford.

I think we have a HIGH chance of getting to the sweet 16, and a fair chance vs FL

I don't think Wisconsin is playing in the second weekend.

I agree, I like our bracket and where we play.

This is how I see it going, and granted my dad EMPUMA says I'm a pessimist, (I call myself a realist) I see us beating Wofford, (or however you spell it), pretty decently and playing St. John's who I mean is a very inconsistent team, but is hot as of late and will be blood thirsty to do some damage in the tourney, and I see us "realistically" losing to them. I hope we win, but I just think St. John's will have that edge/spark that you want in your team for the tournament. Even with them being quite a ways from home.

Well I just learned that Kennedy will not be playing for St. John's as per craigoscarson, I may take back some of what I said...

This is why I say we have a good shot vs them, best rebounder for them is out, and their best player is a G, and Jackson can shut down a G, not a F/C but a G, he can.

yeah the gonzaga match up does scare me a bit, but even without Kennedy I still feel St. John's has a good shot of taking this one. Gonzaga is just not the same team as they've been.

Seth Davis (Sports Illustrated) says he'd love to see Jimmer and BYU go all the way to Houston, but thinks Gonzaga will beat St. Johns and then BYU. After that, though, he adds this caveat:

Players and coaches who have competed at high altitude will tell you they were very much affected by it. Since BYU is in a high altitude in Provo its players will be much more acclimated.
