Latest Bracketology Has Us.....

In The SouthEast(New Orleans) Bracket....As The #3 Seed....Playing Wofford.



I know it doesn't mean much, but we'll see if he's right.



If we win, it could set up a rematch against Kansas State.

I only care about 3 things, BEING IN DENVER, I don't care if we are a 16 seed if we are in Denver!

NOT PLAYING KSU OR Texas A&M.



If those happen, I will be happy.

Denver will be a gift as a 3 seed; I don't expect the committee to be kind to us, however, I do expect them to consider the financial implications of having BYU and Jimmer close to fans

I would count us extremely lucky to get a 3-seed. My guess is that we end up with a 4-seed. That game last night was terrible

Don't forget to apply the "BYU's projected and deserved seed - 1 = BYU's final seed" formula they seem to use every year

I honestly don't care about the seed, as long as it's above a 5 (and there is no way in Hades we get a 5 seed.)



I am more worried about matchups then ever. This BYU team has gaping holes now, and I don't think we have the personnel to cover up the majority of them. I will be ECSTATIC if we make it past the 2 round this tourney. It is possible, if they call fouls for Jimmer like they should. He (as he has shown) is a good enough player to win games for us single-handedly. Especially if the refs "allow" him to get to the line.



I won't bet against the Jimmer, but Davies is the most irreplaceable player for us this year, after Ccoll went down.

current projections after Wofford have us playing Kansas St. and THEN Duke? In the Southeast?



wow. tough road.



Why don't they just ban us from playing with our two best centers and keep us from playing on Sunday, oh and no one but Jimmer can score over 10 points a game.



sigh. Well, it's been a great year.

I felt that the loss of Chris C was the toughest for BYU--then they were still winning with Davies being a beast. Wish we had Chris right now.

Seed and matchups go hand in hand. That being said, I'm confident we get at least a 4 and possibly a 3 (depending on how things shake out with the rest of today's games). Knowing we are most likely a 4 or 3, the most important things to worry about now are matchups AND location.



I'm a firm believer that as a 3/4 seed, first & second round matchups trump location. But location is HUGE if/when we get to the sweet 16. Playing in Anaheim would give us a much better chance of advancing as opposed to playing in New Orleans - plus I already bought my tix for Anaheim :). I hope the committee sees the potential $$$$$ of having BYU in the West, but with SDSU's win last night I think they locked up the 2 seed out West - leaving the committee limited options for placing the Cougs.

and WHAT THE DOOSH! how does FL get a #2 seed ? #12 in the nation and lose to #16 by 16 points, and they go UP ??? WTD???
