That's what he gets for leading the nation in scoring, taking BYU to a Mountain West Conference title, and routinely tearing apart defenses designed to stop him and only him. The 6-foot-2 guard made people care about college basketball who wouldn't otherwise care and made me spend more time on the Mountain West Sports Network than I ever would've imagined. In fact, I watched multiple games in normal definition, which is something I rarely do anymore because I'm spoiled by HD. But I did it for Jimmer. And I'd do it again.

I like the dig on the mtn network there too.

A well deserved honor for the best player in the NCAA. I'm glad at least one organization got this right.

When will the NCAA national PoY be announced?

I don't think the Wooden or Naismith or AP Player of the Year is announced until the Final Four weekend.

It's a very funny dig since CBS has an ownership interest in the mtn.

According to Wikipedia on the Wooden awards, "The selection ballot is announced prior to the NCAA basketball tournament. The voters consist of 1,000 sportswriters and sportscasters representing the 50 states.



The top ten vote-getters are selected to the All-American Team, and the results are announced following the Elite Eight round of the NCAA Tournament. The person who receives the most votes is named the Player of the Year, and the winner is announced following the NCAA championship game."

I really need to stop reading comments on these sports articles, some people are SO ignorant it hurts to read what they've written. You'd have to try, and hard, to be as ignorant about Jimmer as some of these people are.
