Don't jump off the bandwagon

The sky isn't falling. Did we struggle last night of course.We could not hit a 3 and NM was on fire. We will circle the wagons and right the ship. Look are around the country other than OSU who really has an inside presence, even SDSU doesn't have a back to the basket scorer. We just ran into a buzz saw, great shooting and horrible refs. We will be fine, do not jump of the bandwagon. I just thought it was weird Rose keeps Jimmer in when we are up 30 but takes him out when they are down 20. If they could have got some points in garbage time and only lost by 10 would have looked alot better on the box score but whatever I guess. Go Cougars.

A couple of key points made:



-BYU can win w/o Davies (ex. at UNLV he plays 19 minutes, at CSU he plays 23 minutes and we still win both games)

-Rose has spoken of going small in Davies' absence but we don't know how that will work yet

-An awful game can happen with or w/o Davies (last night was worst shooting night in conference play)

-New Mexico somehow has our number (last year 0-2 versus UNM, this year same result)





I'm not completely naive, and I can see some of the arguments against this article, however, I still believe in Rose and the boys. I think we'll right the ship (as much as we can) and be competitive from here on out. This team is not going to go down without a fight and now my tourney hopes are to get out of the first weekend. If we can do that, I'll feel a lot better about this stunning turn of events.

I have to disagree because although he played 19 and 23 or whatever, fact of the matter is HE PLAYED. We just lost our leading rebounder and a leading scorer and replacing him with benchwarmers, I just can't see it working out. I just hope we can gel together before the tournament.

I am impressed with some who can be optimistic in this situation. It isn't as much the loss of Davies, as how the loss came about. This is devastating for morale and chemistry, and isn't fixable. Not in the time we have and definitely not with the talent we have behind Davies.



It was fun while it lasted, and at some point I will look back on this season with some excitement on what Jimmer did.



But after we lose to WY on Saturday, everyone will be singing a different tune.

Wow, just WOW! How can we have so many :utard: fans? Why are so many of us abandoning ship? We have lost ONE game without Davies, not a whole season, the sports program, our first born and our soul. Take Alma's advice and try an experiment on faith. They're not laying on a platter with a fork sticking out of them yet. Jimmer, among others, is not dead. They will be back.
