Bad Football rumors

Okay folks. No one is talking.



What's going on with the football team. Is there anything to all the football rumors flying around?



Seems like a lot of smoke recently and If this is going to be the worst week in BYU history, this would be the perfect week to break news about Jake or Bronco.

Haven't heard/read anything lately

What bad football rumors? I must be living under a rock. I haven't heard anything!

Someone in the bball section said that Heaps might not be in spring football... WHY?

What's going on? Someone fill me in please

I have a few friends on Facebook that are saying if we thought last night sucked with Davies out and the HC then we are really not gonna be happy when similar things start happening in Football...they are saying it is just a matter of time. No specifics but the fact that others are hearing it as well means there is too much smoke for me.

Jake or Bronco? What?



I'm sick to my stomach right now.

While I didn't want to pass along unsubstantiated rumors, Rumor board posts are driving me nuts. There's a bunch of people posting "look out" and "something's coming" type posts without say a thing more.



I for one have a hard time believing that all of these people know something but no one else does...especially the media. If Bronco can't keep the details of a coaches meeting secret of 5-9 guys, how has he been able to keep the entire booster/fan/priviliged info folks from spilling some OTHER major secret.



Seems awful rumor-ish to me but after the Davies incident, I'm ready for more BYU-fandom punishment.

If there really was a problem, we would know and not through the rumor mill.

Agreed. Eventually we would know....



In the meantime, as kiwi said, there is a good amount of smoke.

I can't say anything because I don't know anything. That being said, I've heard through 3 reliable sources (that do not visit RumorBoard, and actually have solid connections) that there we will probably hear some HC related things with the football team in the upcoming weeks.

Weeks.... wow, that could be torture. For the fans and the players involved (if this has any substance).

The interesting thing here to me is this: Why are the football issues taking so long to get sorted out here, when it apparently took BYU 1 day to decide to boot Davies after the info became available? Why the disparity? Basically, I am saying why all the deliberation in one case(football), but the seemingly lack of it in the other(basketball)? makes me wonder if it is the fact the the basketball player was LDS, had a bishop to talk to quickly, and the other kids perhaps are not, so moving slower?

Maybe there is no more or less deliberation here, we simply don't know about the discipline because the coaches and staff aren't meeting with reporters right now. I really don't know.

I don't buy any of it. I don't think there is anything big out there with the football team. At worst maybe some team violations that people sit out a week of spring practice or something. Big things break fast, rumors without sources sit for a long time.



I Talked to my "sources IE football players and others" and no one thinks there is anything out there. I'd bet lunch this is a sham.

Today is the first time I heard a rumor involving Bronco.



What's this rumor about?

Accounting and business have a shared principle called "the bath" it's basically what GM did 2-3 years ago. It basically means if you're going to have a bad year, why not make all the 50-50 accounting assumption you can to make it an absolutely TERRIBLE year and get it over with.



Why would you do this? Get stuff out of the way, make all the layoffs you can, take as many write-offs and charge-offs as possible, and what's left? All the good stuff. You'll note that GM just posted their first profit (and it was a considerable one) in a few years.



With Davies leaving, now would be the perfect time to announce. Takes heat off of Davies and anyone else involved but more importantly it shortens the weeks of bad press the university takes because of it.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I am hearing some things, and they are not good. Brace yourselves.



It appears that a certain LB who had issues previously is going to get kicked out. Also, a DB who had some issues in the fall is about to get booted as well. A certain WR is on really thin ice, and i here it could go either way. A certain QB should be ok, but might get some discipline. All were either freshman or RS freshman last year....

So what you are saying is that your source is saying that vannoy is out and so is jordan johnson. also apo could be gone and jake is going to get disciplined.



well that is great. if all this happens, I don't know if i can even handle being a byu fan anymore. its going to freaking kill me.
