In spite of happenings of the past 48 hours, I say we still take 'em by double digits.

FLAT FLAT FLAT. Do not look like a top 10 team. Missing Davies badly. And can we jack up more 3's??

So far it looks like just what I was afraid would happen is happening. The Cougs are pressing too much to try to compensate for Davies' absence, and poor Anderson looks lost out there. The issues we are having are really about 95% mental.

Jimmer is picking a bad night to have his worst game. National POY needs to play better and lift his team. Right now, he is not at all. Problem is we are more perimeter tonight than we have been all year. We act like we are allergic of the paint. Hartsock and Abuou needs to post up more, play less perimeter.

After watching that half, I don't feel like this sorry state of affairs can be turned around. Talk about losing the big MO. Jimmer is not going to be allowed an inside game with these refs. We're too perimeter dependent, while unable to hit from the perimeter, including Jimmer. We will never get calls on most of the contact, so we can only run from the contact and try to get open looks, all the while hoping that the 2nd half will restore our shooting accuracy. We would have to claw our way back gradually, because we won't get big unanswered runs. What bigs we have left will likely foul out, with these refs, and without Brandon's five fouls to give.



Oh well. It was a nice run while it lasted. I'll be happy to come back and eat crow if I'm wrong.
