Superstitions

I know I have no bearing on the game, but today I realized that I am very superstitious when it comes to BYU. I have to wear the same shirt every game day. If I am watching the game on TV and BYU's opponent starts a run, I try to stop the run by changing the channel and then turn it back a second later. If I watched a game at a friend's house and BYU lost, I will try to avoid watching a game again at their place. There are many more and I know I drive my wife nuts at times with them. Do you guys have any interesting superstitions that lead the Cougars to victory?

Carwasher, there's help for these kinds of things and half the problem is the realization that you have a problem.

Nah, I'm just kidding. Even though I do find your superstition a bit unusual, whatever you think it takes. Reading it sounded like the scene from Malcolm in the Middle were Hal was bowling a perfect game and would do all kinds of weird things in his windup prior to letting go of his bowling ball.

I missed most of the first half of the game. I was helping a member of the ward fix his TV so he could watch the game. By the time I got home, I got onto the mini-chat, but I refused to even read it because I knew that if I had made a single comment, even THE JIMMER wouldn't be able to over the butterfly effect I would have caused.



Forgive me Jimmer, I doubted you.

Ha ha! Em_Puma, I think I will check myself into one of those superstition rehabilitation programs... but not until the season is over. :P

You are not a true disciple of the Church of the Jimmer. You need to read boxscores and meditate upon your lack of faith to become one with the Jimmer.

The Cougars have never lost a B-ball game when I wear my BYU sweatpants and White BYU t-shirt & BYU hat--15 games at least. I told my boss this and said I am doing my part. He said "either that or BYU is just really good."

Really didn't think there'd be a day when I see my dad use Malcom in the Middle as a reference, and also quote South Park (which was earlier while we were watching the game at his house. LQTM (Laugh Quietly To Myself)

Dang, I keep forgetting my son is out there. We wouldn't let him or his sibs watch Malcolm In The Middle when they were growing up, but we started watching it after they were gone. Funny program, I just don't like showing kids show of how to be bad, even if in jest.



South Park I've only seen the one about the people in hell asking which was the true religion. That was from a video byte someone had sent me. I did turn it on once and it was about some woman and her menstral issues and it was so gross I turned it off and I've never watched it again.
