BYU answered EVERY single three pointer by SDSU. The only time a three by the Aztecs actually cut into the lead was when Charles only hit two FTs and SDSU only trailed by 9 instead of 10.

Wow well done. It sure seemed like we answered well but I didn't think it was that impressive.

Great info there Kitic. It was pretty much the feel on the chat that BYU answered all of SDSU's big scores...and now you just provided the proof.

It was most impressive. And often when SDSU would get a basket under the rim, BYU would answer with another 3. It was obvious BYU was trading 2s for 3s and would not be denied.



They answered huge.

Huge. Huge. Huge. This should give as much cred as anything else for seeding.

Not to mention that it is also a huge variable for a deep run in The Big Dance.

Craig you were right about Charles. I don't know if he was tired from summer world games or what. But he is playing much better second half of season.

That was amazing. EVERY single time, BYU had an answer. I'm actually surprised that SDSU stuck around as long as they did, that had to be demoralizing after a while.

Leading by three after halftime, BYU saw a seven-point lead shrink back to three with 15:57 to play in the game. On the ensuing BYU possession, Charles Abouo hit a three-pointer; BYU up six again.



After a six-point was cut in half on a James Rahon triple with 13:13 remaining, Fredette hit a three on BYU's next trip down the floor; six-point lead restored.

With 11:41 to play, a D.J. Gay three-pointer cut the BYU lead to six yet again. 16 seconds later, Emery answered with a three-pointer to recapture the nine-point cushion.



Over the game's final 10:34, SDSU would get no closer than seven points--the last time with 3:00 remaining. On the next BYU trip down the floor, two Abouo free throws gave the Cougars a nine-point lead they would extend to 13 for the final margin.

Wrubbel clearly saw it done here first and then ran with it.
