Today's officials

According to the Jay Drew tweet:



"Officials for BYU-SDSU game: Scott Thornley, Mike Reed, Tony Padilla. Reed is official who told Rose to take Jimmer out of game vs. Utes. "



I don't like the idea of Mike Reed officiating this game. The guy was a complete prude in the Utah game. I'm almost certain they'll officiate the game in favor of SDSU.

I'm not gonna worry about it until it becomes an issue.

He's probably as good as any other MWC official as far as I'm concerned.

Yep, it was definitely an issue, I'll eat some crow right now (but can I put some Famous Dave's BBQ sauce on it to celebrate the win?).

They were a major issue. Luckily for us it didn't affect the outcome.



But Anderson got slapped, Jimmer's going to have his normal weekly bruises, and Rogers tweaked something (knee or ankle).

I liked how every block/charge went against us today. the two most egregious was the charge on Jimmer for his 3rd foul and the two blocks by Davies and Jimmer in the 1st half.

The officials tried to tell Rose to take Jimmer out, and he said "No, make me" so they gave him 4 fouls and played chicken with Rose, but Rose didn't blink and Jimmer Jimmered.

Contrary to the opinion on the board, I think this was the best officiated game in over a month. Other than the block/charge calls, I thought it was fairly even.

That charge on Jimmer was specious and the last Davies blocking fould was as bad a call as I have seen....

Agreed. It was one of the better officiated games we've had in a while. And the Cougars did a great job of making plays so the officials didn't matter or become a factor.

I'll agree with you on everything but the Jimmer front. Mike Reed has a personal vendetta against Jimmer, the charging calls and the blocking call against him were garbage by an idiot official who lets his emotions control him.

There was also that out of bounds call that went BYU's way that was pretty clearly off a BYU player.

I think it was funny that they bang Jimmer around all game with no calls then they call a touch foul on the other end to give him his 4th foul. MWC refs are never consistent.
