EM_PumaFor the first game in Provo, I got shut out of tickets and so I was resigned to have to watch the SDSU game on the TV. I was in the room, out of the room, back in the room, out again. I just can't sit there and watch a game on TV or listen on the radio when I know we should win and then we possibly don't. We really never fell behind in the first game and the aftermath was pure sport euphoria that I can honestly say normally had been reserved for when we had beaten Utah and I believe it was also present when we beat Oklahoma in Dallas (I got in my car and drove all around the various neighborhoods honking my horn like a nut while my daughter waved our BYU flag out the window).
The last game I don't think I ever got to sleep until 2 a.m. I was hiding that cloud nine around and around not wanting to ever get off.
Now I don't know what to expect. I never really felt that SDSU was good enough to, at this point, have only lost to us on the road. I didn't see that because they weren't always blowing out their competition and came very, very close in a couple of MWC games and yet they never had a New Mexico happen to them like it did to BYU.
We've beat them 3 games in a row. We have the talent to do so again. We've been able to handle the pressure, except for New Mexico, when we've gone into difficult arenas to play. Jimmer seems to thrive on challenges. Jackson has been incredible lately on defense and Davies has been good on both ends.
I'm probably just talking out loud on this and nervous as someone usually is before a big game. History will be made tomorrow, but whether a win or a loss has everything to do whether it will be a banner day or one we want to quickly forget.
