"I prayed and good things happen when you call on God"

What?????



I was perusing some twitters and found this on josephmcgregor's site:

Uh oh, Utah: "I prayed and good things happen when you call on God." --Chris Hines. #hypocrisy

Okay, what is that all about? Was this about that last second shot down in New Mexico? Suppose Jimmer has said that about his half court shot, wouldn't there have been a hue and cry for capital punishment from the :utard: ? Isn't this the same school, if it can truly be called a "school," that had a major fit when Collie talked about magic.

I found this on ESPN:

"The shot felt good but I asked God for help too," Hines said afterward. "There are no words to explain this feeling right now."

I don't have a problem with him saying that, but what I do have a problem with it is the deafening silence from the :utard: . :skeptic:

I don't like to discuss another person's religious views on sports issues or events just like I never boo an opposing player when he comes out on the court. My class values tells me to leave such alone.



Is there any surprise that the Pukes would be hypocritical over this issue?

He'd better keep that to himself (assuming he doesn't pull a ute and transfer) next year because the pac-12 does NOT believe in God. However, there are a few things the pac-12 wll support their students with:



1-hating american gov't

2-loving natural and organic crap

3-protesting everything

4-hating on mormons

As long as the person doing the believing/praising belongs to an ethnic/cultural minority the PAC-12 will see it as an important part of his/her cultural identity and will therefore defend it to the death. Just don't expect the same treatment if you're from the 'establishment'

didn't you mean to say 'if you're from the LDS church? Anybody else can thank God for helping them in competition but not mormons... that's just offensive.

Ute fans look like whiners every time they bash on BYU for it's beliefs. That's because deep down, they are in fact whiners and it's the norm for them to be hypocritical.



Good for this guy, someone send the missionaries his way. He obviously believes in God and spoke honestly about it. Did anyone expect some sort of respectful Ute response to Collie's soundbyte? Did anyone expect a ute fan to condemn this guy for saying what he said? Naw. This is so run of the mill normal behavior for most ute fans that it's a non-story.

What he's bummed about is that he didn't pray over whether to play for Boylen in the first place :)
