I kind of like SDSU basketball

I know a few people have said it, but I just want to go on record: as far as it concerns the people who are actually ON the court, I like SDSU. Fisher's been a total stand-up guy to the press this year, especially in regards to BYU and Fredette. Leonard is a total stud who earned a lot of respect from me by playing through sickness like '97 Jordan. I can't vouch for his character, but even DJ Gay can be pretty fun to watch.



I don't like SDSU's athletic department in general; I don't like their fans, I don't like their sportswriters, I don't like their football team. If I were a betting man, I would put good money on SDSU's fans doing something classless/embarrassing on CBS this Saturday. But I like the team.



I hope they have a good, deep conference run.

I just hope that Fisher doesn't let his guys stoop to the level of other teams that have let their players thrash Jimmer on the court knowing that the refs weren't going to call all the fouls. If Fisher has his guys play clean, and not intentionally fouling Jimmer, then the team will prove to me they have class. If not, then they join the :utard: , UNLV's and Wyomings of the MWC...



I don't respect coaches who let their players go after another player when they know the ref won't call it fairly. I do respect a coach who will get after his own players for intentionally whacking a player when the refs won't call it.



I'm certain that Rose wouldn't stand for such behavior from his players.

White...I could do without watching him as well. His most recent blow up was inexplicable. Yes, he got hit while in the air and was inadvertently hit on the head, but it was a legitimate play at the ball. His big head just happened to get in the way.

White...I could do without watching him as well. His most recent blow up was inexplicable. Yes, he got hit while in the air and was inadvertently hit on the head, but it was a legitimate play at the ball. His big head just happened to get in the way.

I like white, because 2 years ago he looked like he'd be the breakout player in the mwc and he as been just ok. I was worried that he'd be a Carmelo Anthony type player against us and luckily he is more of bird man Anderson, a solid player who may overachieve sometimes,but always had the potential to explode and in the process hurt his team. ;)

Coach K is notorious for hammering a team's best player when he knows the refs don't have the balls to make a call against him.



SDSU do play an admirable style of ball and I can see your point about liking the team. As for their PG, I like the cut of his jib and what he does for his team. So in that regard, I guess you could say that I'm a big Gay guy.

It's just hard to really look past their idiotic fans and stupid media. I'll give my kudos to Coach Fisher. He's old school manners and is a class act.

I like that a similar tide that is rising sdsu is mutally benefitting byu and visa versa.

And I just so happen to hate sdsu far less than I hate most of the other teams in this mwc, AF being the only team I don't hate in the mwc--even when they beat us.

Wow, so true.



I too remember being worried that White would be far better than he's turned out to be. He's been docile at best against BYU.
