TJ Fredette has some talent

based on just hearing "amazing" I wondered if the dude had a career in the industry... but his writing and rapping on this song is impressive

I'd buy an album.

TJ is a great guy,Jimmer is very fortunate to have a brother like him. I too enjoy his music,I just wish there were CD versions of his albums. Unless I'm missing something he just has downloads. Never the less TJ and Jimmer are both wonderful representatives of the church.

TJ sampled his background tracks from a website that allows you to "borrow" but not "sell" unless you buy the rights.



So he's going to have to go to the studio and remix his lyrics with new background tracks before he can create a legit album.



March 1st and 2nd he's going to be doing just that.



It won't be long before the Fredette family has plenty of money to allow TJ to do very high quality production; I would assume due to Jimmer being drafted and signing an agent, but TJ has done enough heavy lifting in his rap career that there's enough content for a marketable album too. If it doesn't come before the draft, I'm certain it will come after.

I didn't know that about his background lyrics, but he's also going to have to pay for the movie rights to about 5 different films for that video. Let's see, I saw Rocky, Cinderella Man, The Fighter, Ali, and it's anyone's best guess which Kung Fu movie that was.

There's enough grey area in the fair use laws that if it's a problem, youtube just pulls it (montage is commonplace on youtube), but if TJ can wait 6 months, his brother will be a multi-millionaire anyhow and he can start producing whatever he wants.

Sounds good, I'd get the vocals more dry. Too much reverb/vocal doubling.



I think his voice would sound better natural, with doubling coming in for emphasis. Just a small pointer.



For example "got stacks" etc @ 1:00 min should be doubled up w some reverb but keep everything else dry before then.

another reason he'd benefit from a producer. thus far he's done this all on his own at home.



amazing needed serious help, this one just needs a little quality control. What comes through in it though, is that he's a good writer and he can do up tempo stuff.



nadruas manager, Tom, has already hand picked a producer for nadrua and tj and they're all pretty amped about the man. we'll see how he does soon, I'm sure.
