Teams I'd rather not face in the tourney

Right now Andy Katz has BYU as a 2 playing Long beach. Great first round warm up.



The next round would be between the winner of Temple and Kansas State. Ouch. I still have nightmares about Kansas State. Someone also mentioned that BYU could be facing USU. Yuck, that's a team that always plays BYU well and would either be a blowout in favor of BYU, or a very close game with either team winning it at the end.



Arizona is another team that I don't want BYU to face (I would be fine with facing UCLA again though). They have played very well since they lost to BYU and would be hungry to prove their worth against the cougars.



So there are my 3 teams I don't want BYU to face again.



1 KSU

2. USU

3. Arizona (although it would be awesome to beat them by 20 again.

K-State is about the only game I don't want to see. I saw that game live in Oklahoma City last year.

I wouldn't shy away from k-state. I think we could handle them better this year and I bet Jimmer would love to prove himself against pullin this year. I could stand to avoid usu and ariz again. Agree with wanting to avenge the loss to ucla.

Top Big East or Big 10 teams are the only ones that scare me. Those guys play physical, and have more skill and size in the post that us. Those are the match ups I fear most.

Any team that could beat Kansas like they did this last week wouldn't be someone I'd like to play. Playing under achievers is always very dangerous. USU we should beat 9 out of 10 times this season, but as I noted before, playing a team in the 2nd round like USU would not be desireable as they would be about the most motivated team we could play just becase we're BYU.

For the same reason I fear the big east, I would not want to play UCLA again. Their big man was way too much for our big guys--and thats when we had CC still in. That big guy looked like Shaq against us.

KSU is not the same team. I went to that game last year also. The 2 guard (cant remember his name, Latino kid) was flat out the best player on that KSU team. He was as Jax is to Jimmer. He allowed Pullen to run free and "do what he do."

I would love a revenge match with them, with us going deep in the tourney this time.

NOt sure we beat USU at full strength, meaning w Bendall in. Although, US-spUw away from their home court is not as tough as they think they are.

Pullen had a career night against KU. It was a Trap game for KU.

I don't want to see St. Johns. I don't think anybody else with a number by their name wants to see them, either. ;)

I'd rather not play msu, especially since they'll likely be an 11 seed, and we'd likely be playing them in the second round. File them in the under-achiever category.

Have to agree. And they have an over-acheiving coach. MSU has been to what, the last two final fours?

AMEN, if we play vs a BIG EAST team, and lose, I am willing to bet, their Center/Forwards get 25+ points, as our post is good for west coast, but East has NBA players in collage, I swear those guys are like 30+
