Good question. It sounds like he wants to play fullback but is willing to go where they want him. I would try and find a way to put him at fullback if that is where his heart is.

I don't think BYU is going to use the FB nearly as much under Doman. I think we'll see the TE's in motion more often when we need a bulldozer leading the tailbacks.

Why not both? LB's rotate in regularly. We don't use a FB on every, or even most plays. if he's good enough at both positions, let him play two ways!

What are his measurables? And does he plan on growing?



Sno is right that we won't use a regular fullback, we will have a lot of empty backfields (JJ motioning from the backfield, etc.) and one back type spread formation.



We also don't necessarily need LB's for a year or two, but do need depth.



From what I saw from watching him: He is very, very very good at finding the "seam" in a pass rush. I wonder if that would translate as an "undersized/speed rusher" DE.



I was very impressed with him. Very impressed.

Two things I noticed about him: He is relentless, and he HITS!!! :) :)

Great get for the Cougs. Too bad he isn't Poly, because we don't get them anymore! ;)

The word that describes this kid is "powerful." He blows people up on both sides of the ball, has GREAT upper-body strength.

I only just thought of this but did Crowton have a lasting influence on Doman? Buffalo, triple motion sets, players suspended every day?



Ha, not a chance to answer my own question.

I really like the passion that he plays with. He seems like a real Bronco type of guy. I could see him being a great rushing LB with his speed and hitting. Very excited for this guy.

Wonder how hard it would be for him to play both ways and who was the last to do so?? I wonder if Kariya will be moved to FB next season?? That would allow "Juice" to explode

From what I saw, I'd rather him be on the defensive side of the ball. He makes great lines to the ball, knows how to finish when he gets there, and he'd get some shots at Langi. :)

Watching the video on him reminds me of Lawrence Taylor - he has speed to get around OL and run down QBs/RBs and lay lumber on impact. Did you see the way he almost decapitated the QB on the sideline? He knocked him into next week. He and VanNoy would make a great pair of outstanding mobile, athletic pass-rushing OLBs.
