craigoscarson**believe it or not, but this got started on cougarcorner when a few of us were discussing this band and who they were, where they came from and how BYU could benefit from having a cool polynesian presence tied to them**
So the Na Drua management team (of which I'm a part) is looking for artists to submit potential album art.
One or two tracks on this album will actually feature TJ Fredette.
We're looking for some solid artists/graphic designers to come up with what ultimately will be the cover for the bands 1st album.

If you go to their facebook friends page you can see a lot of the art that's already been submitted.
The winner gets a prize of an autographed acoustic guitar, 2 tickets for all of their shows for 2011-12, and $200 cash... plus royalties to any artist that submits art that might be used on any other merchandise (t-shirts, etc.)
Na Drua has maxed out their facebook friends (5000) and has a large facebook fan page following (in fact Deuce Lutui of the Cardinals just sent them a message today) and there have been many interesting submissions there but I'm almost wondering if a fresh take from an outsider might not be a good possibility for a winner.

Let me say this, cougarboard wont' have anything on us if we consumate some of the plans we have (including working with the Fredettes (some of it we expect to go viral in march) and potentially playing pep rallies and halftime during the Hawaii game next year..which is a realistic and entirely possible goal... Na Drua has already done the national anthem several times for the Y... much better than christina aguilera might i say )/// if we do ever end up having a cougarcorner bash before a game... I assure you that these guys will play as a favor if you want them at the bash.
art contest ends march 1st, if you or someone you know is a studly artist or graphic designer, tell them they have a chance to create the album cover for this up and coming LDS band and get some nice prizes in the process.
I've used all the connections I have to get them close to BYU and it seems like it will soon pay off big time... or should I say it's been an "amazing" ride. :whistle:
