FIrst - if you watch closely - on the rail on the side of the backboards - a lot of the time it says Brigham Young in Blue but I loved it when that Jimmer "three" drained through the net on the one that said Utah Utes in Red.

Now speaking of my wife - the one that hates sports sites, refers to Cougar Corner as Cougar Blue no matter how many times I try to explain that Cougar Blue was the former site she used to get mad at me for spending time on and now this is a different one. She hates and will not use email, Facebook, Twitter, anything internet or computer and has no interest in any sports. But, somehow, she has suddenly become a BYU Basketball fan and even calls me up at work or from halfway around the world to ask me to remind her when the game is on.

She is not a big enough fan to try to let me walk her through logging on to my pc over the phone and pulling up Cougar Corner to see if a Justin TV Link has been posted and watching the game that way and KSL Internet radio does not hold her attention - but if the game is on Versus or CBS C we get that on TV and she watches the entire game. When she was in California - for the birth of my first grandson - my dauther also had access to the MTN. My daughter does not like family coming from the main house into the guest house where she lives - but my wife made her let her in to watch BYU basketball. She never attended BYU and used to get annoyed when we used to camp out on an entire floor at Deseret Towers during Christmas vacation when my mother was a Head Resident. She attened the U briefly and grew up as a Skyline High School brat - and di dnot like BYU. Of course now she would not have her sons attend anyplace but BYU - but we all change.

This is a woman who usually lasts less than 15 minutes watching a movie that she drives all the way to Blockbuster to pick out and rent. She just got home with one - I will time her.

She claims her amazing conversion to Jimmerism and BYU basketball is not just that she has been Jimmered. In fact, it started when I dragged the entire extended family to Anaheim and bought nice seats to watch UCLA break my heart at great expense - or was that an investment in the future?. That was not Jimmer's or BYU's prettiest moment. But she caught the bug.

Maybe this will last beyond The Jimmer. She would have agreed with the Daily Universe letter if it had been written about BYU Football.

But yes - I have told my wife and she is now a BYU Basketball fan. I am going to show her how to watch it on the Justin TV link provided by Cougar Corner tomorrow - if there is a link. Otherwise - I guess we go look for a Sports Bar.

I still gotta work on the football thing. Maybe if they shorten the games to 1 quarter I have a chance.
